Dear students, parents, and staff,
Spring is a very busy time of year at the high school. Please be aware of some upcoming events and important dates for our kids.
Seniors & Graduation
Last week, our senior students checked a big task off of their list, for graduation, by completing their senior projects. All seniors who presented their project experiences did a fantastic job. This is a huge milestone for them. With under two months until graduation, we are in the final stages of preparation to celebrate their success as high school students.
Graduation will be held in the main high school gymnasium June 3rd at 7:00pm. All are welcome to attend. Senior students will have a limited number of reserved seating tickets for many of their guests as well. We look forward to seeing many of you at this event.
Spring Sports
The inclement weather has put many of our early spring competitions into limbo. Please be patient as many events have and will be rescheduled during these times of cancellation. OSAA.org is the most reliable resource for updated events and changes to the schedule. Also, if you would like to be on the weekly athletic schedule email, please contact me with your name and email address.
National Honor Society
Next week, we will be inducting our newest members of the Monroe Chapter of the National Honor Society. This year we will be welcoming seven new members at our annual induction ceremony this coming Wednesday, April 20th. The ceremony starts at 6:30pm with drinks, desserts, and socializing before the ceremony begins. Please RSVP to Ms. Fuller today, if you would like to attend.
Smarter Balanced Assessment
The state required Smarter Balanced Assessment will take place this May. We will have further details for students and parents as we near the assessment dates. These assessments help us direct instruction and provides students the opportunity to obtain certain graduation requirements. For further information, please feel free to call the high school office or visit the Monroe School District website.
