Dear students, parents, and staff,
Spring is on the way. It is an especially busy time of year at the high school. Please see the following for upcoming dates and information.
Athletics
Spring sports have begun. OSAA.org has up to date baseball and softball schedules or if you would like weekly athletic schedules, please email Beau.Sisneros@monroe.k12.or.us and put “Monroe Listserv” in the subject line. Spring sports are influenced by weather and many changes can happen each week. All spring sports schedules can be found at the high school office.
National Honor Society
Our NHS chapter recently inducted 7 new members. The NHS group is very active at Monroe High School and does a fabulous job of volunteering within our school community. We congratulate our new NHS members!
Smarter Balanced
Statewide assessments are just around the corner. We strongly encourage parents and students to participate in the process. The data from the assessment can help in many ways. Please call the high school office if you have any questions or would like further explanation.
Hands-On Learning Day
For the first time, MHS will be hosting the 7th and 8th grade students at the MGS for a hands-on learning day. The middle school students will have an afternoon meeting the high school staff, interacting with various courses and activities, as well as win prizes. The event will be April 27th from 12:00pm – 3:00pm.
This is a half-day of instruction for high school students. For those interested in helping as an ambassador/teen leader, they have the opportunity to volunteer. Buses will run at 12:10pm.
