WHEREAS, teachers and guidance counselors open children’s minds to the magic of ideas, knowledge and dreams; and
teachers and guidance counselors keep American democracy alive by laying the foundation for good citizenship; and
teachers and guidance counselors fill many roles, as listeners, explorers, role models, motivators and mentors; and
teachers and guidance counselors continue to influence us long after our school days are only memories;
NOW, THEREFORE, as the Board of Directors of Monroe School District #1J, we do hereby proclaim the week of May 4-10, 2025, as Teacher and Guidance Counselor Appreciation Week in recognition of the impact of teachers and guidance counselors on our lives.
